hawaii?

Thinking about this little hideaway for a honeymoon....

This is what Frommer's had to say:
"Book now because this place is so fabulous it will go fast! Just a block from the beach, these two incredibly decorated studio units are a steal at $175. Host Simon Potts is a former record company executive from England who thinks he has retired to Hawaii. He's the hardest working retired guy we have ever met. The first thing he did was ask the kids he coaches in soccer if they had any old surfboards; he even offered them a few bucks. Potts got enough surfboards to line them all up standing next to each other, to create the most unusual fenced-in yard in Hawaii. Next, Potts turned to decorating: One studio is filled with whimsical "cowgirl" decor, and the other in pure Elvis Presley memorabilia. Both units have kitchenettes, comfy beds, water purification systems, 300-channel televisions, free high-speed wireless Internet access, Bose CD players, DVDs, iPod docks, barbecues, and backyard lanais. But the best reason to stay here (besides the 2-minute walk to either the beach or downtown Hanalei) is Simon himself; his stories about the record industry will keep you howling with laughter for hours."
Sounds like so much fun. The owner emailed me and told me about a private 'word-of-mouth-only' cottage that he also rents for honeymooners, called 'The Love Shack'. He sent me pictures, and it is so darn cute and 150 ft. from the beach!

07/09/2009 - Update: Just found this article on drbeach.com, naming this beach #1 in the USA for 2009! This ranking is based on "50 criteria, which include water and sand quality as well as safety, facilities and environmental management"
